Exciting Youth Theatre performance piece, using life size puppets, mask and shadows.
It was inspired by the traditional tales and folklore of Teesdale.
The project combined life size puppets, mask and shadow theatre to dramatise and retell tales of old. Tees Tales culminated in two performances in December 2013.
The young people taking part were members of the Kando Youth Theatre, ages ranging from 11 to 13 years.
During the summer months they worked hard adapting local tales, developing characters and improvising scenarios to be used in the performance.
There has also been a great deal of hands on work, making puppets, masks and scenery. Everyone was committed to producing an exciting performance piece.
